Home Away From Home

Pierson Pet Hospital offers personalized care for your pet by an experienced staff. We offer the security of a hospital, with doctors, licensed technicians, and assistants. Our boarding staff members love pets. They will treat your family member as if he or she were their own. Some pets even think they are on vacation while they are with us!

Health Requirements

  • Please allow time for instructions on how to care for your pet while staying with us. We do provide bedding, bowls, and leashes. You may bring toys or treats if desired.
  • All boarding reservations and any additional services that will be done while your pet is here must be paid for at the time of checking in.
  • Drop off times Monday – Friday: 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
  • Bording Admit Form
  • Pick up times Monday – Friday: 9:00 am to 11:00 am and 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm
  • When you pick your pet up on Monday through Friday after 11:00 AM, an additional full day of boarding will be charged.
  • For the safety and health of your pet, we re­quire that they are up to date on their vaccinations:
    • Distemper/parvo/lepto
    • Rabies
    • Bordatella
    • A negative heartworm test
    • Heartworm prevention
    • A negative stool sample
All boarding pets will be required to receive a Capstar at check-in. Capstar is a non-prescription flea tablet for dogs and cats. Capstar starts working within 30 minutes and kills over 90% of adult fleas within a few hours. It kills fleas before they can lay eggs and causes an infestation. You can safely combine Capstar with other flea prevention treatments to kill immature fleas. At Pierson Pet Hospital, we’re committed to ensuring your pet’s safety and protection during their stay with us.
  • For the safety and health of your pet, we re­quire that they are up to date on their vaccinations:
    • Distemper
    • Feline Leukemia vaccine or a negative Feline Leukemia test
    • Rabies vac­cine
    • A negative stool sample

Diabetic Pets – Please be advised if a Doctor or Technician is called in over the weekend or after hours for your pets care, there will be an additional fee for these services. All diabetic pets will have a Free Style Libre device applied (at additional charge) to monitor the entire time here. Please see handout.
  • If your pet needs medication administered there will be an additional fee*
  • If your pet is a diabetic please call our office ahead of time to go over the additional charges.

We are happy to bring your dog or cat vaccinations up to date prior to their stay with us. Pets must be up to date two weeks prior to their boarding stay. If you have had your pet vaccinated during the past twelve months by a veterinarian other than Pierson Pet Hospital, we ask that you simply provide proof of vaccines and prevention before your kennel stay.
